Baked Camembert

Hey Guys! How are you doing?

 

Here in London, the weather is crazy hot and I am trying to avoid the kitchen and cooking but duty calls. Today I’m going to show you how to make baked camembert and actually how easy it is to make it. Let’s start.

You will need:

1 camembert – try to buy one that has the wooden packaging

1 clove of garlic – sliced into thin pieces

1 tablespoon of olive oil

a pinch of – salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, chilli flakes

preheat the oven to 200 degrees celsius – 400 if fahrenheit

Okay, so make some cuts on the camembert and put the garlic slices into it. Be careful to not to cut through the bottom of the cheese.

Pour the olive oil on the camembert, try to even it out.

Mix all the seasoning together and sprinkle the mixture on the top of the cheese. I know some people put the olive oil after they finished baking but I like to add it before. This way I can make sure the flavours of the chilli flakes will mix with the oil and the oil turns into this golden red colour like on the picture. After this, you should just put the camembert into the oven for 15 – 20 minutes.

When the cheese is ready, you are done. I like to serve this with just pita bread or naan but my absolute favourite is to serve it with black sesame rice crackers. Enjoy.
